Earthquake Tremor Felt in Woodbridge
July 16, 2010 — Some area residents were awakened at about 5 am Friday when the ripples of a 3.6 magnitude earthquake rumbled through the region. The origins of the quake were centered in the Gaithersburg, Md., area, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s Earthquake Information Center, but were felt as far south as Spotsylvania.
