Almita’s

RESTAURANT REVIEW — What a great find! It has been a mission of ours to find good restaurants in the Woodbridge area, especially family owned, non-chain restaurants that bring their own signature style to the table. Almita’s was a wonderful discovery, and one which satisfied that search criteria.

Serving “real” Mexican and Salvadoran cuisine, the menu is extensive and quite delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are rich with flavor, from the mild to the very, very hot.

There are some unique items on the menu as well, such as the beef tongue and dove meat, but most of the items are recognizable favorites. We tried the tamales, enchiladas, chips, salsa and guacamole and all were excellent. The rice and beans were especially tasty as well.

They have a full service bar and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also deliver within a four-mile radius.
